The Pet Office is a family run, independent pet shop. When we were deciding what to name the business, we had a few ideas in mind. Cue a lightbulb moment. You see, prior to the transformation of this building, it was a Post Office which was operated by the same family who now run the pet shop!


It was a great way to preserve the history of the previous establishment. For two decades, Mr and Mrs Verma proudly served the residents of Crowthorne and it was a cornerstone of the village for many years, until Mrs Verma retired in early 2018.


There was unanimous approval when The Pet Office was put forward as the name. It is now run by their son, Rohit. You'll also notice a particular Border Collie making an appearance on most of our web pages and often on our social media. His name is Indi, he is a beautiful boy with endless energy, and adores every single person he meets. He was another inspiration for this venture. Our love for him is boundless, and he only helped to further evoke a passion for all animals.


When we saw the opportunity to open a pet shop, there was no looking back. It took some time to bring the property up to scratch, but after endless hours of research and hard work, we finally opened our doors in August 2022. 


Indi is also our head treat taster so he's always around conducting quality control, and never turns down the opportunity to take a break for a hug and a game of fetch when you pop in!
